- French departement: Ille-et-Vilaine (35)
- Region: Bretagne
Why did you enter politics?
I have always been involved in the social life and community outreach of the town. Over time, I have become more and more involved, which has enabled me to acquire a certain closeness to the inhabitants. My daily objective is to find solutions to make Le Vivier-sur-Mer a good place to live.
What were your expectations in creating a stopover area with CAMPING-CAR PARK?
By creating a stopover area with CAMPING-CAR PARK, we wanted to develop the tourist reception of our territory without any management. As soon as the site opened, we noticed that, thanks to the strength of the network, the number of motorhome users visiting the area was much higher. We were pleasantly surprised to see that this traffic continued throughout the year. Now, during the All Saints holidays and even during the year-end celebrations, many motorhome users stay on the campsite. This is a real opportunity for the town!
What improvements have been made recently to the quality of the reception on your site?
Following feedback from motorhome users, we have indeed made improvements that we felt were essential to offer them a quality service. We have added electrical terminals so that each pitch has electricity, stabilised the pitches so that motorhomes no longer get bogged down in winter. We also reorganised the parking area to increase our capacity by offering more pitches.
What are your main reasons for satisfaction with the motorhome stopover?
(for the local businesses, the municipality, the citizens?)
We are very happy to have created this stopover area. It makes the town more attractive and lively all year round, not only during the school holidays. It has also allowed us to reach a new clientele who buy locally. Strategically located in the town center, the site benefits all our local shopkeepers and restaurant owners.
